What is Bus Charter Dispatch?
Bus Charter Dispatch is a website within the Charter Dispatch International Network (CDIN). At Bus Charter Dispatch we network charter bus companies, bus rental companies, luxury and deluxe bus companies, tour bus companies, mini bus companies, limo bus companies, van, airport and town car operators, transit bus carriers, bus line operators, motor coach carriers, party bus and limousine rental carriers and virtually any seated bus transportation company anywhere throughout the world. Some of the above transportation company types are best represented on sites such as limocharterdispatch.com and partybuscharterdispatch.com. Please refer to each for your specific transportation requirements.
Who do you network Bus Charter Dispatch with?
Bus Charter Dispatch is a free service to the general bus traveling public. It is for anyone wishing to rent a bus or find a bus company that can be reviewed for safety, competes for your business and can be monitored by the customer.
What does Bus Charter Dispatch not do?
We are not a broker of charter bus services or companies, and we do not rent buses. We do not receive any money from the customer or bus companies when you use a bus company through our service. We do not knowingly allow our members to falsely promote, advertise or operate without proper authorities or required insurance. We do not allow members to remain as such if their ratings fall below set standards for safety, service and reputability.
What are the benefits of using Bus Charter Dispatch?
Assuming you are looking for a charter bus, bus rental, party bus, limousine, bus line carrier, transit bus operator, tour bus company, van, limousine, town car or other type of ground transportation company, you're benefit is quite simple. We work on your behalf to network you with our member bus companies who can provide you with safe cost efficient service. When using BCD you will be in complete control of all payments, communications and verification processes of the bus company you select as your transportation carrier.
What are my costs to use Bus Charter Dispatch service?
Our philosophy is simple. Supply the customer with the tools to make a decision regarding safe and cost efficient charter bus rental service. As a result, we never charge the customer (that's you) for our bus charter company services either directly or indirectly. That is our guarantee and our pledge to all of our customers.
What kind of bus Company will I deal with?
Our goal is to create an atmosphere of competitive pricing and services. Our bus charter members can be screened for safety and evaluated for comfort and service by all those who use their services. Bus Charter Dispatch is not looking for companies that bait and switch, low-ball or don't operate with full Federal and State authorities. Bus Charter Dispatch only looks for the best of the best in charter bus operators and never knowingly allows sub-par bus carriers as members.
How does Charter Dispatch deal with Bus Brokers?
Bus Charter Dispatch membership is open to any company or service that has a legitimate purpose or benefit within the charter bus industry. In some instances charter bus brokers do have legitimacy within the bus industry. However, bus brokers are treated no differently than bus rental and charter bus companies. Bus brokers must register as a broker and clearly state they are brokering your service when dealing with BCD customers. A bus broker must also clearly display on their own website that they are a broker of bus and transportation services.
I've learned you can't get something for nothing, what's the catch?
Bus Charter Dispatch was developed with two fundamental and deep-rooted premises. First, supply the traveling public with the ability to secure the safest, most cost efficient charter bus service through our easy to use tools. Second, to protect our membership from unscrupulous bus companies that cut safety and service for the sheer benefit of profiting at everyone's expense.
The Charter Dispatch International Network (CDIN) monetary policy is simple. Keep the membership cost low and the benefits high and CDIN, as well as its membership and its customers will benefit from low cost and high volume. Simply put, never charge the customer and charge very little to the members.
Isn't BCD really brokering the deals?
Bus Charter Dispatch absolutely does not broker any business. In fact, all CDIN websites are programmed to operate with virtually no interaction between customer and staff whatsoever. Customers can only request services through our membership. The only time a Bus Charter Dispatch staff member will ever be involved is when there is a dispute between member and customer that cannot be resolved through normal channels.
How are disputes avoided and resolved?
We believe that the customer is always right and we impart this type of attitude throughout our worldwide membership. However, there are those few occasions when a dispute is unavoidable. When those situations do arise we will intercede. However, we deal with minor day-to-day disputes very simply, with ratings. The Bus Charter Dispatch members almost never want to cause their ratings to fall. We have found this to be a remarkably beneficial influence on the service you will receive through our charter bus companies.
Isn't BCD a simple Bus Rates directory?
Absolutely not, in fact all Charter Dispatch sites are extremely sophisticated and complicated interactive databases. In addition to search and find capability for customers needing an immediate charter bus company, our database allows charter bus rental members to show up to 10 pictures of buses and facilities, as well as a real time connection to the FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) so customers can quickly and easily find out Federal information about any bus company, inclusive of insurance, carrier type, accidents, out of service citations and more. Customers can check our rating system on each member, verify state operating (automation coming soon) authorities and review referrals. And, our database is inclusive of all members whether charter bus, rental bus, party bus, tour bus, mini party bus, mini bus, limo bus, entertainer coach, sleeper (band bus) coach, transit bus operator, bus line carrier, motor coach, limousine, bus rental, van, ground transportation, stretch limo service, airport service, harbor service and others.
How does Bus Charter Dispatch actually work?
When you upload your quote request it goes into a database much like the one seen below (Example Ref. A. Search Listings). Your general information is viewed by our bus-renting members and is also sent via email to bus companies in your location.

Our members see very general information about you and your trip and decide whether to offer a quote to you via the method you selected at login time. In addition, Bus Charter Dispatch membership understands that all members are in a competitive situation, which in turn generally benefits you the end user with lower pricing.
What about Confidentiality and Privacy?
As you can see (Example Ref. A. above) your email address and trip details are not available for viewing by our membership. Telephone and facsimile numbers are optional so that you can never be bothered with constant sales calls from our members. The only time anyone will know any details about you is when you decide on your bus carrier and communicate directly with them.
How do I decide on a Bus Charter Dispatch Company?
As shown below (Example Ref. B. Bus Company Listings) when you decide on a bus charter company, simply enter our database and search for that particular carrier. If you are in a hurry to obtain a bus company, simply login and search a city or zip code for the nearest BCD members. Once selected you can view their website, see pictures of their buses or facility, email them anonymously through our site or telephone them directly. While reviewing your bus company don't forget to check Federal and State authorities, ratings as well as their references.
How are payments made for Bus Charter Dispatch services?
Bus Charter Dispatch never receives any payments to rent or hire a bus. All payments are made directly to your charter bus carrier. In most cases our bus carriers accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover Card. Some accept PayPal and other online methods. Most bus companies do not allow cash payments upon boarding because of liability. It is always best to find out from your bus company how and what methods of payment they accept.
Do Bus Charter Dispatch Companies post prices?
Yes, but not in the manner you might think. Unlike other bus rates sites that format pricing and vehicle fleet size and capacity (that may or may not be accurate), we discourage the posting of structured bus rates for the following reason. No two trips, bus companies, customers and for that matter buses are alike. Factors such as time and distance, age, size and cost of the bus, amenities within the bus, fluctuating cost of fuel, maintenance, insurance, driver pay scale (quality of driver) all vary not only from country to country, state to state, city to city, but also from carrier to carrier based on the many above factors. We want you to make a decision based on apples and apples, not apples and oranges. If you want a lower price ask for an older bus. If you want to impress and money is no object, ask for the new $450,000.00 56-seat top of the line motor coach. It's all up to you and your tastes and requirements. From the Bus Charter Dispatch website you may also link directly to any of our bus carrier members who sometimes post prices for the general public to view.
Because of this we recommend our bus companies establish an "average" 4-5 hour and 10-12 hour rate with a set maximum mileage clearly documented. Then based on your particular needs you can reasonably and fairly come to an agreement with full knowledge of all the above factors, especially the age of bus, amenities within the bus, total time and distance you are traveling.
Who pays for the driver room and food when traveling over-the-road?
The customer always pays for the room and board regardless of what bus carriers say. It is always best to discuss this point as well as food costs involved per day. Decide whether you want these costs added into your total invoice or whether you wish to tip the driver or pay for his/her room, etc. Don't leave these costly items to chance; always clear them with your bus company before your bus trip commences.
What is a reasonable gratuity for a bus driver?
Most people take for granted the highly technical and critical job of a bus or motor coach driver. The buses that you rent and hire are up to 45 feet in length and weight upwards of 50,000 pounds fully laden. Safely operating this type of vehicle takes a great deal of expertise. That said, and personalities being what they are, a normal gratuity per day ranges from 10% (against bus cost) to $2.00 and $3.00 per head per day based on a 10-12 hour day. For a full discussion on driver and vehicle legalities within the Unites States and Canada please go to driver regulations in the Top Ten menu at top of page.
